Adults:
Psychotherapy

I work from a depth perspective and emphasize respect and compassion in my work, engaging with my clients interactively to support healing and growth.  My work is collaborative; addressing clients’ strengths, needs and goals.  I incorporate many different therapeutic modalities including; integral psychology, psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, expressive arts therapy, EMDR, Brain spotting, sand tray therapy, breath work, body-mind psychotherapy, guided therapeutic imagery, narrative therapy and mindfulness based interventions.  I also work effectively with Adult Attention Deficit Disorder and right-brain issues.

I see therapy as a tool for the acquisition of self knowledge leading to insight and deep, fundamental change in the way one experiences life.  Through the deepening of self awareness and self acceptance one is able to authentically connect with others and the world around them.

Couples Counseling

I offer a safe environment for couples to explore the challenges affecting their relationship and areas where they feel stuck.  We work to develop tools to address ongoing difficulties, enhance intimacy and rebuild connection.

The therapeutic modalities which guide my work include Communications Skills Training, Conflict Resolution, the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Imago Relationship Therapy.

EMDR

Trauma can cause one to develop restrictive and isolating beliefs about ones self and the world.  Trauma can also lead to symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder including; anxiety, nightmares, flashbacks, irritability and depression.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is an integrative psychotherapy which works with the hemispheres of the brain to facilitate deep and highly effective processing of traumatic memories.  EMDR helps to improve symptoms, develop a sense of calm and a greater capacity for connection, functioning, creativity and growth.

* I also provide EMDR services for children.
